We are finally getting civilized again and we are no longer using folding chairs at the dinner table! I KNEW this would happen when husband said he wanted to make the table himself. He constructed the table this SUMMER and I knew it would take us forever to get the chairs to go with it. You see, I'm more of the "let's just go out and buy the complete set right off the floor of the furniture store" type because I know how we work. Heck, I would have purchased the set that came with a buffet, sideboard or china cabinet too cause now, that's what's still missing.

But kudos to him. It does look great.

Why am I obsessed with how damn ugly these Kleenex boxes are? I don't know. I just am. And the thing is that husband likes to shop at Costco so I have lots of 'em. One for every room in the house. Oh joy.

Cook I ain't

I HATE getting home first. Means I gotta' whip something up for dinner. I wish I liked to cook. Sigh.

Wanted: more time to blog

Ah ha! It's a rare day 'cause husband actually took the boys to his mom's house this morning for the Thursday babysitting gig. That leaves me at home, ALONE with a couple of spare minutes to hop online and post an entry. I actually don't have much time and should probably leave the house so I could actually get to work ON TIME (how novel would that be) but I just remembered that the boss has a 10:30 a.m. dentist appointment anyway, so here I am.

I really wish I had more time to devote to this thing. I surf lots of other blogs (mostly in the CrazyHipBlogMamas ring) and am amazed at the creativity, wit and ease at which other people seem to do this. I'm probably being hard on myself - I've actually only just started blogging, but I want cool graphics! I want hyperlinks and cool stuff, too! I think a laptop would help. That and a week off of work and motherhood. I think I'll start with "Blogging for Dummies".

I mindlessly put this wonderful ensemble together and didn't realize it until I got out of the car and was walking to the office. Wanted to run, at that point. Kept shifting the purse to the hand, to the shoulder, to the other hand...bag on right shoulder, left shoulder...kind of like if I kept them moving, no one would notice the awful clash. Why does it take so LONG to get to my desk some mornings!

Then, at the end of the day, we had the walk back TO the car.

Never walked faster.
